We're a repair-first company — it says so all over this site — but some windows are genuinely done: insulated units fogged white with failed seals, frames corroded past saving, single panes that today's hurricane code won't let us put back. When that's the honest verdict, we replace the window properly: correctly measured, correctly flashed, and with product that meets South Florida's toughest-in-the-nation standards.

Replacement here isn't like replacement anywhere else. Broward and Miami-Dade sit in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, where new and replacement windows must be impact-rated, and Palm Beach County carries its own strict requirements. That's not red tape to dodge — it's what keeps a window in its opening at 150 mph. We guide you through product selection honestly, handle the details that make an installation weather-tight for decades, and never push replacement where a repair would serve you better. The confidence to recommend repair is exactly what makes our replacement advice trustworthy.

When replacement is the right call

  • Permanent fog or moisture between the panes — the insulated seal has failed
  • Frames that are corroded, rotted, or racked out of square
  • Single-pane or non-impact glass you want upgraded for storm protection
  • Storm damage beyond economical repair
  • Windows that leak around the frame (not the sash) in wind-driven rain
  • An energy bill that climbs every summer through inefficient old glass

What window replacement includes

  • An honest repair-vs-replace verdict before anything is sold
  • Exact measurement and impact-rated product selection for your opening and zone
  • Straight guidance on HVHZ code requirements — what's required, what's optional
  • Removal of the old unit and correct prep of the opening
  • Weather-tight installation: flashed, shimmed square, sealed and insulated
  • Finish work, operation test, and a clean job site when we leave

Window Replacement — common questions

Do replacement windows in South Florida have to be impact-rated?

In Miami-Dade and Broward (the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone), replacement windows generally must meet impact standards — ordinary glass no longer passes code. Palm Beach County has its own wind-zone requirements that usually point the same direction. We'll tell you exactly what applies to your home before you commit to anything.

My windows are foggy between the panes. Repair or replace?

Fog between panes means the insulated glass unit's seal has failed. On many windows we can replace just the glass unit within your existing frame — a repair-priced fix. When the frame itself has failed too, or the unit is obsolete, full replacement is the honest answer. We check the frame first, always.

Can you replace just one window, or do you only do whole houses?

One window is a perfectly good job for us. Storm damage, a failed unit, a single upgrade — we replace exactly what needs replacing. If you're considering a whole-home upgrade, we'll assess every opening and tell you which windows genuinely need it and which have years left.

How disruptive is window replacement?

A standard single-window replacement is typically done in a few hours, inside-clean by the time we leave. We protect floors and furniture, remove the old unit carefully, and vacuum the work area. Most homes are back to normal the same day.
