The screen door is the unsung hero of South Florida living — it's what lets you throw the slider open for the breeze eight months a year without inviting every mosquito in the county inside. It's also the most abused panel in the house: pets push through the mesh, wind slams it off its rail, sun rots the spline, and its tiny plastic rollers wear out far faster than the glass door's hardware.

We restore screen doors to genuinely smooth, quiet operation: fresh mesh properly tensioned (standard fiberglass, tighter no-see-um weave, or pet-resistant fabric), new rollers and tension springs, straightened or replaced frames, and correct fit in the track so it stops jumping off every time the wind catches it. When a frame is too far gone, we can supply a new heavy-duty screen door built to your opening — a different creature entirely from the flimsy big-box panels.

Screen troubles we fix

  • Torn, sagging or bulging mesh — pet damage is the number-one cause
  • Window screens that are ripped, sun-rotted, or missing entirely
  • The screen door derails every time you slide it
  • A bent or racked frame that no longer sits square in the opening
  • Rollers that screech or drag instead of rolling
  • Gaps at the edges that let insects walk straight in
  • A missing screen door you'd like replaced with a quality one

What screen service includes

Screen Repair — common questions

Is it worth repairing a screen door, or should I just buy a new one?

If the frame is straight, re-screening and new rollers give you an essentially new door at a fraction of replacement cost. If the frame is badly bent or the corners have failed, a quality custom-fit replacement is the better money — we'll give you a straight answer on site.

What mesh should I choose near the water?

For most homes, quality fiberglass mesh is right. Close to the Intracoastal or the beach, many customers choose no-see-um mesh — its tighter weave stops the tiny biting midges that standard screen lets through. Households with dogs or cats should look at pet-resistant fabric, which shrugs off claws that would shred standard mesh.

Why does my screen door keep falling off the track?

Screen doors ride on small spring-loaded rollers that lose tension as they wear. Once the rollers can't hold the door against the rail, any bump or gust derails it. New rollers adjusted to correct tension solve it — and they cost far less than the frustration.

Do you repair pool and patio enclosure screens too?

Our focus is the sliding screen doors that pair with glass sliders. For a full pool-cage re-screen we'd refer you to an enclosure specialist — but the screen door into the enclosure is exactly what we do.
